About Us

Harley in SchoolWelcome! The Silver Creek Regional Humane Society is a grassroots organization that was formed by local neighbors and citizens to serve Apache and Navajo Counites as well as the rural areas of Arizona's White Mountains. Our concern is for the significantly high numbers of abandoned and stray companion pets found wandering along rural highways, in the forest and dumped in neighborhoods within city limits. Another concern is for the numerous equine and livestock that have been neglected, starved or abused. Goals we hope to achieve include changes to vague local animal control or cruelty ordinances along with increased enforcement and prosecution of abusive caretakers.
