ADOPTION
FEES:
Dogs/Puppies:
$75.00
($30.00 for Senior Citizens). Includes initial vet exam; 1st series
of vaccinations; spay or neuter; and gift pack.
Cats/Kittens:
$35.00 ($30.00 for Senior Citizens). Includes initial
vet exam; 1st series of vaccinations; spay or neuter; and gift pack.
Horses/Ponies:
$100.00 to $500.00 (depending on breed). Includes
initial hoof and tooth care, first annual vaccination and parasite protection.
Small
Barnyard Pets: $10.00 to $50.00 (depending on breed).
Small
Caged Pets: $10.00 to $20.00.
REQUIREMENTS
FOR ADOPTION:
- Request
a pre-adoption form from the Silver Creek Regional Humane Society
Administrative Office (and Waggin' Tails Bargain Store), located at
20 North Zuni Street in Springerville, Ariz. Complete the form and
return it to the office.
- If a
suitable animal is selected for adoption, the Adopter will complete
and agree to comply with the Humane Society Adoption Contract.
- If you
rent, written permission will be required from your landlord prior
to adoption.
- Fenced
yards are required for some pets. A visit may be required to insure
adequate size/height and that it is safe and compliant.
- Dogs/equines/barnyard
animals must be transported in a secured carrier, with a safety harness,
or inside the vehicle.
- The veterinarian
will perform a spay or neuter by the date stated on the Adoption Contract.
If the veterinarian is unable to perform the spay or neuter by the
stated date, the humane society administrative office shall be notified.
- The Adopter
is knowledgeable of and will comply with animal control laws (a copy
of the laws will be furnished upon request).
- The Silver
Creek Regional Humane Society staff has the right to deny or remove
any adopted pet from the property or person who is not in compliance
with the signed Humane Society Adoption Contract.
